Mitchell Pady comes to Bur Oak

The Bur Oak Music program is pleased to welcome Mitchell Pady, Conductor & Tenor, to the program to work with the Massed Choir on Monday, April 13.

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Mitchell Pady pursued his studies in composition and voice. He has performed and participated in many festivals and conferences including the national conductors’ conference run by the Association of Canadian Orchestras. He has been a choral adjudicator for the Ontario Music Festivals Association, Music Fest Canada, the Toronto District School Board Music Festival and Kiwanis Music Festivals across southern Ontario. During the last six years Mitchell has worked with teachers and students as a choral clinician for a number of professional development workshops across the Toronto District School Board.

Mitchell sings professionally with choral ensembles in the Toronto area including the Elmer Iseler Singers, Amadeus Choir, and Aradia Ensemble and Choir 21. He has been featured as a pop's soloist under the baton of Howard Cable and as a jazz singer with various ensembles across the city. Mitchell has recorded for the Naxos, Perimeter Records and Centrediscs labels.

He is presently Artistic Director of the Oriana Singers and conductor of The Cellar Singers, succeeding Albert Greer who retired in May 2012.

Stouffville Invitational

The Bur Oak Senior Wind Ensemble is excited to participate in the annual Stouffville District Secondary School Invitational Concert. The Wind Ensemble will be performing alongside Markville Secondary School and Stouffville District Secondary School's Senior Bands on Wednesday, March 25th.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. concert. There is no admission for the concert.

Cabaret Night

The Bur Oak Music program is excited to host our annual Cabaret Night in the Bur Oak Cafeteria on Monday, March 30th. The evening will feature our incredible vocal program alongside side our 3 jazz bands and selected solos.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. show. Admission is $5.00 at the door, which gets you a drink and access to the junk food potluck table. Yum!
