Kiwanis Music Festival

Congratulations to all the Repertoire students of the Bur Oak Music programme on an incredible showing at the Kiwanis Music Festival this month.

On Thursday, February 20 both the Grade 9 Concert Band and the Senior Wind Ensemble competed at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. The Senior Wind Ensemble received a 2nd Place and a Platinum Award with an incredible mark of 96 in their class. The Grade 9 Concert Band received a 1st Place and a Platinum Award in their class.

The following week on Wednesday, February 26, the Bur Oak Choir competed in their choral classes and received a 1st Place and a Platinum Award for their incredible performance.

Congratulations to Mr. Stokes, Ms. Lee, and all the Bur Oak Music performers on representing our school so well at the Kiwanis Music Festival.
