OMFA 2026 Results

The Bur Oak Music program once again participated in the Ontario Music Festivals Association (OMFA) Virtual Festival this year. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following ensembles:

The Bur Oak Grade 9 Concert Band, directed by Mr. Stokes, competed in the Grade 9-10 School Bands category and earned an impressive 3rd place.

The Grade 10 Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mr. Yeung, also competed in the same category and secured an outstanding 1st place.

The Bur Oak Massed Choir, led by Ms. Lee, participated in the Grade 9-12 School Choirs category, achieving a commendable 2nd place for their performance.

The Bur Oak Senior Wind Ensemble, directed by Mr. Stokes, competed in the Grade 11-12 School Bands category. We are delighted to announce that they won their class, achieving a remarkable 1st place.
